    Contractor Registration

    Please complete the form below if you are a contractor carrying out work for the university so that we can plan for your arrival.

    Contact the Estates Office if you have any questions about completing the form.

    Information for contractors

    • We carry out fire alarm testing on a Wednesday morning. If you are working in a building and the fire alarm is activated for more than 30 seconds, please evacuate the building.
    • You must view the Asbestos Register:
      • By submitting this form you acknowledged that you have viewed the Asbestos Register and accepted full reasonability for carrying out the work agreed. A copy of the register is available on request.
    • All works must be carried out within the required guidelines of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all statutory provisions.
    • Smoking on site is only permitted in designated areas well away from buildings.
    • This site is subject to COSHH regulations.
    • The speed limit on campus is 5 MPH.
    • Contractors are responsible for keys issued to them. Any losses will incur a replacement charge of £10 per key.
    • By signing the Authorisation to Work Register, you are confirming that you have read and understood the Health and Safety notes and Authorisation to Work has been accepted.
    • No work other than that agreed is to be carried out.
    • When leaving the campus return your Authorisation to Work to the Estates Office, sign out, and return any keys issued.

    Travel details

    • By registering, you agree to comply with the university's parking rules and to your vehicle registration being shared with parking enforcement as a vehicle authorised to park on campus. All vehicle details are stored securely in the parking system - you DO NOT need to display a printed permit.
    • If your party is travelling in multiple vehicles please complete this form for each vehicles, as all vehicles need to be registered for parking on campus.

    Privacy information

    As a visitor to the University, we will collect and process your Personal Data. For Security and Health and Safety purposes we need to know who has been on our premises and the purpose of their visit. This will allow us to know who has been on our premises for security purposes or in the event of an unforeseen event such as a fire alarm.

    We will collect your name, vehicle registration, telephone number (preferably your mobile number) and your company details. Your personal data will not be used for Marketing purposes. It will be retained in a safe and secure manner, for a maximum of 2 year.

    The lawful basis for processing this information is as it is necessary for:

    Performance of a contract; Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject; Processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another person; Processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.
