Harper Adams revealed as one of only two universities to achieve TEF Gold for a second time

Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ is today revealed as one of only two universities to have been awarded Gold in both the 2017 and the 2018 TEF.

The university is now one of the 23 per cent of TEF-assessed institutions to hold a Gold award.

Publishing the Harper Adams result on its website today, the Office for Students states: “The TEF Panel judged that the higher education provider delivers consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for its students. It is of the highest quality found in the UK”.

Universities that had received their TEF rating in 2017 did not have to enter the process again this year, but Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ felt it would be beneficial. Vice Chancellor, Dr David Llewellyn, explains: “We were keen to test our performance against the new TEF measures introduced this year, and to have achieved Gold award again is therefore a significant achievement.

“It demonstrates that we have maintained high academic standards for our qualifications whilst also providing an outstanding student experience and some of the best employment outcomes for graduates in the university system.

“This outcome shows that smaller specialist universities have a key role to play in delivering diverse and vibrant higher education that is of benefit to students and vital to important sectors in the national economy.”

Over the last two years, more than 290 universities, colleges and alternative providers have been assessed based on metrics including their National Student Survey results, graduate employment statistics and student continuation rates, in addition to evidence submitted by each institution.
